Middle West Press LLC is proud to announce the launch of The Aiming Circle, a project intended to create a community of practice for writers of military- and war-themed fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and more.

The Aiming Circle takes its name from a device used by field artillery soldiers to ensure accurate and effective fires.

Generated by the award-winning writer behind the Red Bull Rising blog, "Reporting for Duty," and "Welcome to FOB Haiku: War Poetry from Inside the Wire," the Aiming Circle will primarily be funded and resourced through a Patreon page.

By selecting various levels of support, subscribing patrons will receive exclusive access to market reports, how-to-get-published essays, and other essential information for military writers.

Abby E. Murray is War Postcard Project's "Keynote Poet"

Author of the poetry collections “Hail and Farewell” (Perugia Press, 2019) and the forthcoming “Recovery Commands” (Ex Ophidia Press, 2025),  Abby E. Murray  (they/them) is now also author of the “keynote” poem for the War Poetry Postcard Project (WPPP) .
